| OUCH....... Well I threw my back out last Saturday playing tug of war with Roxy. I forget how strong she really is. Soooo stupid. I can hardly walk, and it make s me so mad! So please be praaying for a speedy recovery. Daniel... I am listening to my CD for 3:16....so not to worry. I really am looking forward to it. Because I had to go home from work and lay flat on my back I got the oportunity to see some of t he folks that took advantage of the new marriage laws. Lets put it this way..... I saw two m en walking hand in hand of the beach, but the thing is one of them was wearing a tiarra and vail...nuf sed. | | |
| I finally saw a whale...... Yes, a whale...... This morning I noticed a rather large water spout about a half a mile off shore and sure enough then a huge whale birched (sp?) the surface. It was incredible!!! I hope I will see more. I think I am going to try to teach Roxy ( my son's pit bull) how to surf. They have a dog surfing contest every year right in front of my apartment and since she just loves the water,...... well you know where I,m going with this. The only problem i can see is that she just might sink like a box of rocks because she is soooo muscular. I'll have to let you know how it goes... should be fun though. I love the smell of the strange things 1. the smell of my doggies feet... they smell like fridos 2. My horse when she sweats 3. The top of a babies head.....I think that is what heaven must smell like. 4. The asphalt when it rains. (I think it should be spelled Assfault...much funnner.) I also love the tast of water out of a hose on a hot day.... I know..... I know..... just a half a bubble of plum huh? | | |
| Man has this year gone by fast! The kids graduate next Thursday and are so ready for summer, and so are the teachers!!! The summer session starts the following Monday so we really don't get much of a break, but we switch to thematic units in the summer and thats always fun. AND Mrs. "D" comes back into the office!!! YEAH!!! She has had to teach a 3 year old class all year, bless her heart. I have been being one of the afternoon teachers, so needless to say its been a looooong year. Yeah for summer! Don't know if I can make it to church tonight AND get to work in the morning. Tomorrow is pay day and I might not have enough gas to make the trip twice., but God has stretched my gas before and I know He hasn't changed, so never mind...... Zeth's car is a pile!!! He can't afford to fix it and he can't afford not to have a car...please be praying. Roxy is still helping me make friends with the kids on the beach. Yesterday , as a car went racing by, I hear a kids voice yelling "Hi Roxy" It was the same kid I told you about with the dead eyes. I think we are having an impact and they are starting to open up a little more, so that is exciting. Who would have thought that me, someone who can't stand to be around teenagers, would be looking forward to these little encounters. Now I understand when people say that God moves in mysterious ways. Who'd a thunk it? | | |
| Baby Bunny When I went to park my car last night there was a baby rabbit just sitting in the gutter. Well I just kept moving closer figuring that it would jump off into the sunset when I got close to him, but nooooo he/she just sat there looking all scared. So I got out of my car and just reached down and picked it up. Poor thing had be chewed on by something. It's right eye looked like it had cataracts on it. It was all white and he couldn't see out of it. Anyway, I wrapped him in a jacket that I had in the car and he just let me pet him and seemed to like bing all snugly like that. When I got him upstairs I put him in a box and put him on the kitchen counter to keep him away from the dogs. Zeth had to work at Best Buy last night and didn't get home until after 11:00 pm, so needless to say I was asleep when he got home. Well, lets just say that the scream I heard when the little bunny jumped out of the box was the funniest thing I 've ever heard. I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of bed!! Tooo funny Well, this morning I dropped the little guy,( the bunny, not my son) off out my Vets. So there is a happy ending for all... | | |
| When the tide is to high I take the dogs for a walk around the streets of I.B. Well yesterday after work, I took the doggies out for a street walk and there were a bunch of kids between the age of 13 and 15, about 8 of them, hanging out in front of the liquor store and when I got close enough to hear their conversation , I was totally shocked!!!! I mean , I am no stranger to some pretty rough talk, but theirs was for beyond their short time on this earth. So angry, so hateful, so foul. Roxy, (the pit) took a liking to one of the boys who seemed to be stoned and he bent down to pet her. When he finally looked me in the eyes to tell me he USE to have a dog once, his eyes were just dead. You know, just dull and full of pain. I just wanted to take him home, clean him up and introduce him to Jesus. These poor kids>>>>it just breaks my heart. But maybe with Roxy's help we can make friends with them. Be praying please. This morning the girls and I got to walk on the beach and it was so beautiful! God is amazing isn't he? I mean who else could have thought up so much really good stuff? The Seal Teams must be getting ready to graduate the next group of Seals cause there sure has been alot of night ops going on. I feel so bad for the guys that have to go threw training in the winter. The water is soooo cold and the waves are alot more choppy. But then I guess they will be well prepared for anything they may have to do. Personally i think they are all a little bit nuts to put themselves threw it. But I am thankful they do. I am so excited about Daniel and Christy!!!! Can you believe it? I am so proud of them! And we can say we knew them when. Oh Yeah.... | | |
